Sri Lanka’s Waduge qualifies to the ITF final

Sri Lanka’s Nethmi Waduge qualified to the final of ITF Junior Circuit Week 2 tennis tournament with a convincing two sets to nil win in the three set semi final encounter over Jonea Bach of Great played at the SLTA hard courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday. Earlier in the quarter-final encounter Nethmi defeated compatriot Thisuri Molligoda. Sri Lanka’s Adithya Karunaratne who won the Week 1 tournament was unfortunate as she lost to top seeded Ting-Chieh Wei of Taipei.

Nethmi Waduge (Sri Lanka) beat Jonea Bach (Great Britain) 2-0 (6/1, 6/2).
