Navy beat CH & FC

Navy Sports Club kicked off their 2012 league rugby on a winning note trouncing CH & FC 29 (three goals, try out and a penalty) to 13 (goal and two penalties) at their inaugural Dialog ‘A’ Division League Rugby encounter, which was worked off at the Navy Sports Grounds in Welisara on Saturday (June 9). The scores stood at 21-6 at the first half.

Navy’s Dulip Methruwan, Dinusha Chaturanga and Danushka Sandaruwan scored a try each, which were successfully converted by Thilina giving the sailors an early lead. At the second half, Navy ruggerites kept their momentum and increased the lead with a try by Neranjan Wickremaratne and a penalty off Dev Ananda.
