08 February 2010.Sri Lankan swimmers managed to get only one silver and two bronze medals inn today’s events in the 11th South Asian Games here in Dhaka, Bangladesh

Gihara Amarasinghe, Mineka Karunarathne, Miniruwani Samarakoon and Madhawi Weerathunga teamed up to take the silver medal in Women’s 4 x10m Medley. They clocked 04 minutes 41:83 seconds behind India.

In Men’s 4x100m Heshan Unamboowe, Diluka Thibbatumunuwa, Condrad Francis and Chanuka Wickramasinghe finished third to take the bronze medal. They clocked 04 minutes 07:04 seconds.

Madhawi Weerathunga won the bronze medal in Women’s 50m Freestayle.
