The Interim committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) on March 3 (Wednesday) announced that as per the recommendation of the Tournament Committee of the SLC, it had agreed to award two (2) points each to both Kandurata and Basnahira South for their recently concluded Inter-Provincial Twenty-20 match played at Pallekelle, Kandy on February 25.

In this match, Basnahira South beat Kandurata by three wickets in the last ball of their innings after chasing a target of 164 runs.

The final result of this match was reconsidered by SLC after Kandurata made a complaint to Match Referee Aubrey Kuruppu claiming victory arguing that an error had taken place while scoring the Basnahira South innings as four (4) additional runs had been inadvertently added to their total.

SLC states that the amended points table following this decision will be announced today.
