The inaugural Battle of Friends big match between Christ King College Ja-Ela and Loyola College Bopitiya played at Kadirana ended in a tame draw yesterday.
The second day’s play saw an unbeaten knock of 77 by Shenal Charuka being highlight as Loyala College resuming from their overnight score of 144 for 8 being able to only another two runs to end with a score of 146 runs.
Christ King College having being bundled out for 98 runs in the first inning batting the second time with a deficit of 48 runs was steered by half tons from Jude Roshan and Udan Colombagamage which helped them make a modest score of 239 for 7 declared.
Loyola College set a victory target of 197 runs ended the day on 101 for 6 to force a draw.
