SL men’s 4x100m national record bettered at Commonwealth Games 2018

Sri Lankan Men’s 4X100m relay team bettered the national record at  to finish sixth at the final of the 21st Commonwealth Games on Saturday (14th) in Gold Coast with a time of 39.08secs.

Sri Lankan runners Himasha Eshan, Shehan Ambeypitiya, Ashraff Ladeef and Vinoj Suranjaya  were in their full force to stamp a mark at the games in short distance running where Sri Lanka represented 4×100 event after a lapse of 68 years.

The team finished thirdd in the semi-final with a time of 39.47.

The previous record of 39.38 secs was run by the same team at the 2015 Asian Championships in Wuhan, China.
