NOC conducts seminar on Olympic values in Nuwara Eliya

National Olmpic Committe in Sri Lanka in lieu of International Olympic day has conducted a seminar on sporting values in Olympics in parallel to the Olympic day run in Nuwara Eliya, which falls on Sunday.

Dr B.L.H.Perera National Olympic Committee course director made an important lecture about Olympic values on Saturday at the Nuwaraeliya Government Agent Office. Over 50 Physical Education teachers from Nuwara Eliya district were present this workshop which organized by the NOC to mark the World Olympic day. Olympic expert B.L.H who is having 38 years experience further added Goal of Olympisum. He explained and meaning of the Olympic day at this event.

Meanwhile Susanthika Jayasinghe Olympic silver medalist and  Pushpamali Ramanayake Commonwealth Games silver medalist Asian Indoor games medalist Gayanthika Abeyratna and two sporting heros Jayanthi Kuru Urhumpala and Johann Pieris will attend at the Olimpic day run at Nuwaraeliya on Monday which will start at President house Nuwara Eliya with Central Province Chief Minister Sarath Ekanayake to be the Chief Guest.

Meanwhile Football instructor Sundaram Kohilan and Volleyball Instructor K.B.Hector Silva made special workshop to the Nuwara Eliya PTIs and all of the participants were received value certificate from NOC
