Sri Lankan paceman Lasith Malinga has been included in the squad for the Asian Cup ODI cricket tournament to be played at United Arab Emirates, after a long public out-cry campaigned by the player himself and his ardent supporters.
35-year-old Malinga has been playing domestic T20 cricket in Sri Lanka, after cricket selection committee insisted that he had to play and perform in order to get selected. He had last played an One-day international in September last year, where he had taken one wicket each in all three matches played against India in Sri Lanka.
