Asian Netball: SL beat HK 71-48 and will face each other in semis

Sri Lanka convincingly beat Hong Kong 71 points to 48 in their final group match in the Asian Netball Championship now underway in Singapore. It was Tarjini Sivalingam who did most of the scoring for Sri Lanka.

In the other final group match, defending champions Malaysia was beaten by one point by the hosts Singapore. The final scorecard read 55-56 with victory to Singapore, who jumped up in the points table.

Hence, Sri Lanka will now meet Hong Kong in the semi-finals and Malaysia playing against Singapore making upto a repeat of today’s matches for Saturday’s decider.
