Hasan and Amadoru make SL proud at Asia Auto Gymkhana Competition

A Sri Lankan duo of Raqeeb Hasan and Sathyajith Amadoru qualified to take part in the Asia Auto Gymkhana Competition event organized by the Indian Automotive Racing Club in Mumbai from September 29 to 30 with the participation of 32 drivers across Asia-Pacific countries making up 16 teams.

Exposed to an exciting experience in Gymkhana racing, the duo managed to secure a commendable timing beating seven participants who took part in the event. What was remarkable in this event was that all drivers were driving the exact same cars, 1600 Volkswagen Polo, instead of their individual specialized cars.

“It was all an experience. I was quite impressed by the importance the drivers have given towards making their way to the top list.

“I will take this insight for a successful comeback in the coming years”, said Raqeeb Hasan, a 19 year old racing driver who was the youngest participant.
