Sri Lankan cricket head coach Chandika Hathurusinghe is rapidly becoming very unpopular person in the cricketing circles one for the fact that Sri Lankan cricket team is yet to find a solution for their poor form and importantly for the fact that some of the selectors and players insertions to the team had been directly wanted by coach Haturusinghe, who is bestowed with a powerful hand in selections.

Once the most wanted international cricket coach by Sri Lanka, however, failed to find a solution to Sri Lanka’s ailing cricketers since he joined the team from last December. Sri Lanka lost to Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the Asia Cup and was ousted in the first round, while in the ongoing tour against a visiting England, Sri Lanka faired very badly in the ODIs and is on the verge of a defeat in the first test.

As it is reported, in the latest development within the dressing room, there is a conflict of opinions which has furthered to row between the Manager Charith Senanayake and coach Hathurusinghe in which the latter is seeking to get rid of the former from the post.

In the wake of these developments and the team’s bad run, coach Hathurusinghe is reported to be absconding from the media and the public by fronting his assistant coaches for press conferences.

Nevertheless, Manager Senanayake had already submitted a report on the situation to the SLC Chief Executive Office Ashley de Silva.
