This new concept is organised by the Nalanda college 88 group of old boys along with the Nalanda OBA and Nalanda college Past cricketers Association on the approval from the two great schools Thilak Wattuhewa of Nalanda and Andrew Flower of Trinity.
The match is scheduled to be held on 28/29 December at Nalanda college grounds Campbell Place. Next year it will be played at Asgiriya Stadium. Two great cricketers Mahela Jayawardena from Nalanda College and Kumar Sangakkara from Trinity College said that this was historic occasion for their lives and it’s a dream come true. “We must thank the organisers to play this encounter for out names challenge trophy. I think school is our cricket platform and we can learn everything from the school,” said Sangakkara the best left-hand batsman produced from Trinity.
