Young Aussie cricketers expect to play well on spinning wickets in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka U-19 youth cricketers will play a strong Australian outfit in a home series that would be a termed as a preparation for the next world cup in South Africa.

Australian under 19 cricket captain Will Sutherland said the series between Sri Lanka team is more important to his side to adjust to sub contingent region. “This is a very good learning process for young Australians and we will know how to play quality spinners on their tracks”, said Sutherland.

Former Australian bowling all-rounder Ryan Harris, who is currently the team’s head coach for the Australian side, would definitely use his previous experience on this Sri Lankan wickets as a national player and is expected t0 guide the young Australians during this preperation period before the next youth world cup in South Africa.

Sutherland the tall all-rounder of the side further added that they have a very balanced side and  that it is very important to get match practice on these wickets. “We have 2/3 players with previous under 19 world cup experience but more important is to playing in different conditions,” said Aussie captain, who said that they never underestimated opponents and expect to play very good cricket during this short tour.

Leaving all credits to the visiting Australians, Sri Lanka captain Nipun Dhananjaya was very hospitable towards his counterpart and replied that his team would hope to pose a good challenge during the series.
