After the above encouraging results, Modern Pentathlon Federation of Sri Lanka is now confident to move ahead with the development of the sport in Sri Lanka at a faster pace. We are hoping to introduce the 4th discipline of the sport, Fencing, and participate in the upcoming Tetrathlon events in the next few months. The ultimate goal will be to introduce all 5 disciplines and participate our athletes in Modern Pentathlon Regional and World Championship events in 2020.

This event is another important step in our process to gain experience and measure our skill levels
against athletes in the Asian region. We also hope this would be an encouragement to get more athletes to take part in our sport and bring glory to Sri Lanka. We also hope that more female athletes will be encouraged to take part in the sport after the above results show that there is great potential in Sri Lanka.
