Bangladesh emerging cricket team recorded a thrilling two wickets win with three balls to spare against Sri Lanka emerging team to level the series one-all in their three one day match series played at Saver, Bangladesh on Wednesday.
Sri Lanka scored 273 all out in 49. 4 overs while Bangladesh reached this target two wickets in hand with three balls to spare.
Opener Pathum Nissanka scored 55 in 57 balls struck eight fours while skipper Charith Asalanka was out for 45 runs in 45 balls. However, Kamindu Mendis 65 and Jehan DanielĀ 43 in 41 balls repaired the innings.
Paceman Safiqul Islam was the successful bowler with 3 forĀ 51 while Nayeem Hasan finished with 2 for 35 for Bangladesh emerging team.
Bangladesh in their reply innings, chased the target with skipper Najmul Hossain scoring 77 in 88 balls and Yasir Ali making 85 in 93 balls to build up their total. Shiran Fernando and Jehan Daniel took two wickets each for Sri Lanka while experienced Amila Aponsu was unsuccessful giving away 74 runs in his ten overs spell managing only a wicket.
The final match will be played on Saturday, the 24th at Kulna.
