Sri Lanka Modern Pentathlon Team to China

A two member team comprising Asanka Nilaweera and K. Uadayanga will leave for China to take part in the 2019 Modern Pentathlon Asian Championships; Asia and & Oceania qualification competition for 2020. It will be held in the city of Wuhan from 11 to 21 November.

Though the main event will run for the 11 to 21 November, the two Lankan athletes will be on show only from 11 to 14 taking part in the Senior Men’s event.

Modern Pentathlon which is a relatively new sport to Sri Lanka have done well for themselves by being invited to this main draw which serves as a Asian region prop for the 2020 Olympics in Japan.

Besides Nilaweera and Uadayanga, the full team that is touring China will be Prabod Munasinghe (Manager) and Nishanthe Piyasena, President, Modern Pentathlon
