Discussions have resumed between the two countries regarding the resumption of the The Sri Lanka-Bangladesh Test cricket series. The series scheduled to be held this year has been postponed twice
The three-match Test series was scheduled to begin in June this year, but was postponed due to the spread of the Covid 19 virus.
Although the tournament was scheduled to be held again in October, the tournament was postponed again after Bangladesh players were told that they could not be quarantined for two weeks.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) hopes that the England team will play two Tests in the coming New Year, during which a relaxed quarantine system will be implemented for the England players and that the same system will be implemented for the Bangladeshi players as well.
The England team is scheduled to arrive in the island on January 3 and begin training after a seven-day quarantine period. Accordingly, the first Test between the two countries is scheduled to be played on January 14 and the second Test starts on January 23.
