Jerome Jayaratne, the Chief Operating Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket and the Head of the Cricket Excellence Center, has been appointed as the Manager of the Sri Lanka Cricket Team for the forthcoming tour of the West Indies.
Asantha de Mel, the current Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee, has decided to resign from his post of Manager.
Hair, however, said the appointment was not a permanent one and that he had been appointed as the team’s temporary manager until a suitable officer was selected.
Jerome Jayaratne has previously been the Interim Coach of Sri Lanka Cricket and has been the Director of Training for a long time.
