Real Madrid 2-1 Barcelona: El Clásico

Real Madrid the famous El Classico 2-1 against Barcelona. Goals from Toni Kroos and Karim Benzema helped Zidane’s men cruise to victory. Although, there was one bump in the road as Casemiro received a red card in the 90th minute.

Zidane just made 1 change to the side that won 3-1 against Liverpool. Valverde replaced Asensio on the right.

Barcelona also made 1 change by bringing in Araujo ahead of Griezmann.

Real Madrid double their lead

An absolute belter of a goal saw Real Madrid go 2 goals up. Toni Kroos scored an excellent free-kick against arch-rivals Barcelona.

Toni Kroos fired the ball towards the goal and the ball is deflected off the back of Dest who was standing nowhere near his wall into the net. Jordi Alba was unable to head it off the line as Madrid doubled its lead in the 28th minute.

Barcelona get 1 goal back

Oscar Mingueza scored in the 60th minute of the match. Barcelona kept the ball in play down the left.

Jordi Alba sent the cross in and it was met by Mingueza who was unmarked.

Casemiro sending off

Casemiro was booked for a challenge on Lionel Messi in the 89th minute. He was yellow-carded for that tackle.

No sooner did Madrid deal with the Messi free-kick, Casemiro barged Mingueza over the edge of the area. The referee had no choice but to show Casemiro his 2nd yellow in the 90th minute.
