Paralympics 2020-Sri Lankan medal prospects on the field tomorrow (VIDEO)

Three Sri Lankan Javelin athletes will view for the honours in the Men’s Javelin –F46 , F44 and F64 tomorrow at the Paralympic 2020 to be worked off at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo Japan tomorrow (30 August)

Rio Paralympic 2016 bronze medalist Dinesh Priyantha will compete in the Men’s Javelin F46 Finals with the hope of getting a podium finish for second consecutive time. The event is scheduled at 11.00 am Japan Time (Sri Lanka Time 7.30 am)

There will be nine competitors in the F46 Javelin Throw finals and Dinesh has the second best distance of 61.84m.

Dinesh will have a tough competition against two Indian athletes. World record and the Paralympic record holder Devendra (63.97m) will be the main threat while Sundar Singh Gurjar also in the line having a personal best of 64.11m. But his seasonal best read as 57. 74m.There is another Indian Ajeet Singh who also recorded 61.27m.

Apart from Dinesh Priyantha Samitha Dulan and Chaminda Sampath Hettiarachchi will also take part in Men’s Javelin F64 and Javelin F44 Finals scheduled at the same venue. Both events will get underway at 7.00 pm Japan time ( 3.30 pm Sri Lanka time)
