Rio Paralympic 2016 bronze medalist Dinesh Priyantha will compete in the Men’s Javelin F46 Finals with the hope of getting a podium finish for the second consecutive time and make his motherland proud. The event is scheduled at 11.00 am Japan Time (Sri Lanka Time 7.30 am)
There will be nine competitors in the F46 Javelin Throw finals and Dinesh has the second-best distance of 61.84m
Dinesh will have a tough competition against two Indian athletes. World record and the Paralympic record holder Devendra Jhajharia (63.97m) will be the main threat while Sundar Singh Gurjar is also in the line having a personal best of 64.11m. But his seasonal best read as 57. 74m. There is another Indian Ajeet Singh who also recorded 61.27m.
