Sri Lankan men and women have won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the West Asian Youth Chess Championship held online.
Harshana Tillekeratne and Oshini Devindya Gunawardena won gold medals in the under 18 men’s and women’s under 10 categories respectively.
Susal de Silva won the silver medal in the men’s under 18 category while Esandy Nivenza won the women’s bronze medal in the under 12 category.
Oshini Devindya, who won a gold medal in this tournament, also won a gold medal in the under 10 category at the recent World Online Chess Championship.
