Mahela Jayawardane has been appointed by as the consultant of the Sri Lankan cricket team in the upcoming T20 world cup. He will be joining the Sri Lankan team bubble after the conclusion of the IPL in Abu Dhabi.
His short stint as a mentor will prove vital as he is regarded as a master tactician and has a proven track record in building successful teams. He will be mentoring the Sri Lankan team in the first round and will return to continue his Honourary role as a consultant of the Sri Lanka U19 team before the Bangladesh tour.
