Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) beat Delhi Capitals (DC) by 3 wickets with 10 balls to spare to inch ahead in the mid-table in the race for the playoff spots. DC are still placed second in the pecking order with eight wins and 16 points, while two-time winners KKR find themselves in the fourth position with five wins and six defeats.
DC could only manage 127/9 in their 20 overs, with no one other than openers Steve Smith (39), Shikhar Dhawan (24) and skipper Rishabh Pant (39) managing to get into double digits. Sunil Narine (2/18) was the most destructive bowler for KKR. Avesh Khan (3/13) was the most successful bowler for DC, but KKR overhauled the target in the 19th over with contributions from all around
