Curtis Campher took four wickets on the trott to bowl out Netherlands for a low score of 106 runs in a group A game at Abu Dhabi a short while ago.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first the Dutchman were struggling with their stroke play from the word go.
Max O Dowd made 51 with Pieter Seelar the skipper chipping in with 21. The Dutch were 51 runs for 2 wickets at one stage , then came that Magical spell from Curtis Campher who took 4 wickets in his second over, claiming the first hatrick in the 2021 T 20 World Cup.
He sent back, Collin Ackerman caught down the leg side for 11, with the aid of the DRS, trapped Ryan Ten Doeschate for a duck Lbw in the next ball, Scott Edwards for a duck Lbw to claim the hatrick, after which he biwked Roelof Van der Merwe bowled for no score , and the Dutch looked shocked with 6 wickets down at 51 runs on the board.
Skipper Pieter Seelaar made 21 , to resurrect the innings to some responsibility, but the Duch crumbled for 106.
It was a poor display by the Dutch to state the least after winning the toss and electing to bat first. Mark Adair took 3 for 9 , in support of Curtis Campher who was great with the ball.
Ireland courtesy of Gareth Delany who 44 with Veteran, Paul Sterling and unbeaten 30 had an eady day in the Park.
The Irish got to the target of 107 runs in 15.1 overs.
