Angelo Mathews In As Captain For Colombo Stars

It has been announced that Gihan Rupasinghe and Lahiru Gamage  have been removed from the second
edition of theLankan Premier League after the  International Cricket Council
informed Sri lanka Cricket that they are ineligible to take part in the competition having
played unsanctioned cricket.

Angelo Mathews, former captain in all formats has being signed as the captain of Colombo stars. Angelo Mathews captained the former team titled ‘Colombo Kings’ in the First edition of LPL with five wins of 9 matches played leading them to the semi-finals.

Under the new ownership of Softlogic PLC, the first match for Colombo Stars in the LPL Tournament will be on December 06th at 7.30 PM against the Galle Gladiators.
