The Sri Lanka U19 squad for the upcoming series against England U19 has been announced. 4 changes have taken place following the recent series against Bangladesh U19.
It has bee reported that Ryan Fernando, Harindu Jayasekera, Lahiru Dewatage and Jeewaka Shasheen have been dropped from the team for not making enough runs. The new changes have taken place in Abhishek Liyanarachchi , Ranuda Somaratne, Anjala Bandara and Sakuna Liyanage making into the squad. They were part of the initial 26 member pool.
The Bangladesh series saw many players shine in the 5-0 whitewash and skipper Dunith Wellalage has been leading well with the ball. Pawan Pathiraja and Shevon Daniel have been in great form with the bat, including Raveen De Silva with his all round skills.
