Colombo Stars has announced that they have recruited a series of overseas super stars and couple of Sri Lanka’s best T20 players to their squad. Tom Banton, Sherfane Rutherford, Ravi Rampaul and Naveen Ul-Huq have been named for the Stars.
They have announced that local players including Kusal Janith Perera, Dhananjaya De Silva and Dinesh Chandimal have been signed to the squad of Colombo Stars in the upcoming LPL 2021. The three players were of the notable absentees of the first LPL drafting that raised concerns among the fans.
Tom Banton has been an outstanding young prospect in T20 Cricket with a strike rate of 143.3 in T20, along with Sharfane Rutherford with a strike rate of 119.4 in T20 Cricket, not to mention Ravi Rampaul and Naveen Ul-Huq, bringing the famous bowling attacks of Franchise Cricket to LPL2021.
