Roshan Mahanama says that if he is invited to be the head coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team, he will accept it on certain conditions.
Roshan Mahanama, a former player of the Sri Lanka Cricket team and a former match referee of the International Cricket Council made this statement at a TV program held in Colombo .
"If I am asked to take over as the head coach of the Sri Lanka national cricket team, I will consider it," he said. I was invited to do it 3 or 4 months ago. But that was not the time to make such a decision. ”
"I took the time to think..is this something I should do. Because I also have some shortcomings. Because I have not worked in a dressing room for the last few years. ”
"I need my team to come anyway. An individual cannot come and do these things. But these problems that I have brought will not be solved. We all need to work together. ”
"The Minister of Sports has a role to play. The people on the cricket board are responsible for what they do. Or these are temporary solutions. ”
“If you leave me to do other work, it will not work. You can't be dragged in different directions .. this journey. ”
He was speaking at the launch of his autobiography by Roshan Mahanama.
Roshan Mahanama's autobiography, My Inn, Returns as a Decisive Final Farewell, was released in both Sinhala and English.
