
The Sri Lanka Men’s Volleyball team led by Lasitha Methmal Wasanthapitiya have emerged champions of the Asian Central Zone Men’s Volleyball Challenge Cup after defeating Bangladesh 3-0.
The results ended 28-26, 25-20 and 25-20 in favour of Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan women led Thilini Wasana by beat won 3rd place as they beat Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in the consolation finals.

Nepal beat Kyrgyzstan to win the Women’s title. It was a tight contest as it was a 3-2 set win.
Six countries—host Bangladesh, Nepal, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Sri Lanka, and Uzbekistan, participated in the championship held from December 23.
