The Sri Lanka U19 squad for the Under 19 World Cup will be leaving the UAE today to the West Indies. The Young Lions who have recorded 11 wins in 15 matches so far, are said to be preparing well ahead of the all important tournament.
The team will be the same as the one played in the Asia Cup.

The tournament is to be held from the 14th of January. Sri Lanka is set to play against Scotland, the replacement team for New Zealand who pulled out of the tournament due to their country’s Covid travel rules, in the opening game of Group D.
The team is coming off a defeat against India in the Asia Cup finals and will look to work on improvements ahead of their first fixture. A top 2 place in the table will secure a Quarter final place in the knock out phase.
