A 102-run partnership between Angelo Mathews and Dhanajaya de Silva took Sri Lanka to 282 for five against Bangladesh on Day three of the ongoing second Test in Mirpur.
Mathews was batting on 58 and was joined by Dinesh Chandimal, before bad light interrupted a rain-hit day of play. De Silva was dismissed on 58 in the final session.
Skipper Dimuth Karunaratne and Oshada Fernando had earlier put Sri Lanka on top after adding 95 runs for the opening stand. Initially, Bangladesh had posted a total of 365 after Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Das has played marathon knocks of 175 and 141, respectively.
