Sri Lankan team celebrated the T-20I victory in the last match against Australia on Satuday on a Billiard Table, it is learnt.
According to the hotel sources in Kandy, the players celebrated the victory, though not in a big way, but all players were very happy and in a good jovial mood and had good fun till 3 am Sunday.
“The home team won the match by four wickets and after returning from the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, the players played Billiard also”, the hotel source confirmed.
“We never knew these cricketers can play Billiards so well”.
“There was music, meals and juices at the hotel. No player consumed alcohol or even beer”, the source further added.
It was great victory. Thanks to captain Shanaka’s brilliant knock. “Oh yes, never seen an innings like that. Those last three overs were out of this world”, one of the SLC source described .
The hotel staff also gave a welcome to commentator Roshan Abeysinghe when he checked in.
The team is now preparing for the ODI series.
Nuwan Fernando, the brother of Vishwa Fernando will join A squad for the 4-day game against visiting Australia A team.
