Will Sri Lanka take the T20 form to ODI series against Australia?

After bagging the T20I series, Australia will now look to extend their dominance in the ODI series starting from June 14 (Tuesday). The first two games will be played at the Pallekele International cricket stadium, and the next three ODIs will be played at the R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. The Sri Lankan side managed to win the final T20I match by four wickets and will have their confidence up.

The home side has recalled their hard-hitter Bhanuka Rajapaksa into the ODI squad and he might feature in the first match of the series. Meanwhile, Australia will continue to be without the services of their prime pacer Mitchell Starc due to an injury. Batter Marnus Labuschagne is also expected to be included in the Aussie squad for the first match.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Pallekele has been a sporting track with both batters and bowlers getting some assistance from the pitch. The batters can play their shots once they get set. Similarly, the spinners have been getting some turn from the ball as it gets a little old. The skipper winning the toss might want to have a bowl first.
