Sri Lankan women’s will take on England the host nation as their first in the T20 series at the 22nd Commonwealth Games 2022 which gets under way in Birmingham. Both team will meet each other on Saturday (30)
The T20 event starts on July today (Saturday) with two games. Australia will play against India as the first game and the game between Pakistan and Barbados to follow.
Sri Lankan will meet New Zealand August 02 and will play against South Africa on August 04 before the two semifinals scheduled for August 06. The bronze and gold medal matches will be played on August 07.
There are 06 cricket playing nations in the Commonwealth taking part in the event as cricket re introduced to Commonwealth game since 1998.
Sri Lanka, England, South Africa has been drawn to Group A . Pakistan, India, and Barbados will represent Group B.
