ndian Cricket is in chaos once again. Chairman of the selection committee Chetan Sharma has been forced to resign following a TV Sting operation where he spilt the beans on Indian Cricket’s dirty secrets. With that, the selection committee meeting for the last two Tests of Border Gavaskar Trophy and the ODI series is now in the doldrums. InsideSport earlier reported that senior players including the captain and the vice-captain of ODI team Hardik Pandya and Rohit Sharma were furious with the chief selector following the Chetan Sharma Sting Operation.
The selection committee was supposed to sit with the head coach Rahul Dravid and captain Rohit Sharma to pick the teams for last two Tests and the three-match ODI series. However, BCCI is likely to bar Sharma from attending the meeting until the internal enquiry is complete. If Chetan Sharma is denied permission to attend meetings, Shiv Sundar Das will be the interim chairman.
