Sri Lanka On Top As NZ Need 257 Runs To Win On Day 5

Fiery century from Angelo Mathews put Sri Lanka on the driving seat at the end of Day 4 of the ongoing first Test against New Zealand in Christchurch.

Resuming Day 4 at 83/3, Sr Lanka were bowled out for 302 and gave a target of 285 runs to the hosts. For the visitors, Matthews scoring 115 while Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya De Silva scoring 42 and 47 respectively. Coming to bat, New Zealand lost an early wicket of Devon Conway as New Zealand’s score read at 28/1 at the stumps.

Tom Latham (11*) and Kane Williamson (7*) are standing unbeaten at the crease with the hosts needing 257 runs more to win
