Another exciting match was played between the Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. RCB won the toss and opted to bowl first. Devon Conway delivered a stunning batting performance, scoring 83 runs off 45 balls with six sixes and six fours, while Shivam Dube scored 52 runs off 27 balls, which helped CSK post a total of 226/6 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target, RCB faced a mammoth total, but they never gave up. Glenn Maxwell and skipper Faf du Plessis built a brilliant partnership for the third wicket. Maxwell scored 76 runs off 36 balls, including eight sixes and three fours, but Maheesh Theekshana got his wicket. After breaking the partnership, RCB lost wickets at regular intervals. They could only manage to score 218/8 in 20 overs. Tushar Deshpande took three wickets, and Matheesha Pathirana took two wickets for CSK. However, CSK won by eight runs.
