Rajasthan Royals captain, Sanju Samson after winning the toss opted to bowl first. For LSG, Kyle Mayers and skipper KL Rahul gave a good start to the match. Mayers’s scored 51 runs off 42 balls including 3 sixes and 4 fours. However, LSG lost their wickets in the middle overs and their set 154/7 target for RR in 20 overs at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. For RR, Ravichandran Ashwin took 2 wickets while Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma took one wicket each.
In response, Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Jos Buttler gave a decent start to the visitors, they scored 44 and 40 respectively. Everyone thought this task easy for RR but they lost wickets at regular times. Marcus Stoinis took 2 wickets and Avesh Khan’s brilliant final over spell gave a win LSG by 10 runs. He took 3 wickets for 25 balls.
