Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka gets underway on the 29th of April with the 1st of 3 Women’s One Day Internationals (WODIs), followed by as many Women’s Twenty20 Internationals (WT20Is). From squads to broadcast, below is everything you need to know about the bilateral series.
The 3-match ODI series is part of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s Championship for the 2022/23-2025 cycle. While Sri Lanka is seeded 8th with 1 win in 5 games, Bangladesh, who have had a couple of games abandoned and lost their third, are positioned one seed above at 7th.
While Bangladesh played their last ODI earlier this year, against New Zealand in an away series, Sri Lanka’s last ODI outing came in July 2022, against India at home. To get the players match-ready, a 50-over warm-up game was played in Colombo, which Bangladesh won by 27 runs against the Sri Lanka Cricket Board President Women’s XI.
