GT got off to a brilliant start with their openers. Wriddhiman Saha scored 81 runs off 43 balls, and Shubman Gill remained unbeaten with 94 runs off 51 balls, helping GT post a mammoth target of 227/2 in 20 overs for LSG. Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan took wickets for LSG.
Chasing the target, Kyle Mayers and Quinton de Kock scored 48 and 70 runs respectively, but LSG lost their way, losing middle-order wickets at regular intervals. Mohit Sharma took 4 wickets for 29 runs, which helped to manage LSG’s innings for 171/7 in 20 overs. However, GT won by 56 runs.
