The last over super spell by Mohsin Khan led LSG to a comprehensive win over MI. Earlier, MI skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bowl first. LSG lost their first two wickets to MI bowler Jason Behrendorff. However, Marcus Stoinis’ unbeaten 89 runs off 47 balls, along with skipper Krunal Pandya’s 49 runs, helped LSG set a target of 177/3 in 20 overs for MI.
Chasing 178 to win, Ishan Kishan scored 59 runs, including 8 fours and a six. MI lost their way, losing middle wickets, but Tim David tried to change the game by scoring 32 runs off 19 balls. However, MI could only manage to score 172/5 in 20 overs. For LSG, Ravi Bishnoi and Yash Thakur took 2 wickets each. LSG won by 5 runs and secured the third place on the points table.
