David Warner is staging a lone battle as Delhi Capitals lose half their side in the 224-run chase against Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2023 encounter at Delhi on Saturday.
The home side got off to a slow start and lost three wickets – Prithvi Shaw, Phil Salt, and Rilee Rossouw – inside the powerplay overs. Warner then went to complete his half-century as Delhi kept losing wickets in regular intervals.
Earlier, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway added 141 runs for the opening wicket as CSK piled a gigantic 223/3 in 20 overs. Gaikwad was dismissed for 79(50), while Conway scored 87(52).
