Sri Lanka trounced hosts South Korea 94-08 in their opening match of the 12th Asian Youth (Under 21) Netball Championship.
Sri Lanka dominated all four quarters of the game, winning 25-03,24-03,19-02 and 26-00.
This is the third time South Korea is taking part in the Asian Youth Netball C’ships and have not won a single match so far.
Sri Lanka’s second match is against Brunei on Monday.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that the organization of the tournament is not up to standard.
Sri Lanka were unable to participate in Saturday’s opening ceremony because there were no proper transport arrangements, according to head coach Amalka Goonetilleke.
This competition is being held with the participation of 11 countries at the Jeonju Hwasan Gym, South Korea from June 10 to 17.
