Sri Lanka rout Brunei to make it two in a row

Sri Lanka junior Netball team recorded their second consecutive win when they beat Brunei 82-16 in their Asian Junior Netball Championship fixture played int South Korea yesterday.

After recording back to back victories Sri Lanka will meet formidable Singapore today (13) and this is going to be a keen tussle between two unbeaten teams said Sri Lanka team Manager Vajira Pushpakumari who herself was a former National player.

Our players are in good shape to meet Singapore challenge today .Their winning mentally against South Korea and Brunei made given confidence before the Singapore game and we expect to continue our winning mentality said Manager Vajira Pushpakumari in an exclusive interview with Daily News after the winning Brunei game yesterday.

Our coach and Assistant coach Shashika Samarasinghe have made good plan after this back to back victories.We gave chances to all players and have finalised best team for Singapore game today.

At the Brunei game yesterday Sri Lanka once again got an early lead to put big pressure on opponents. In the first set Sri Lanka took an early lead 19/6 while after second quarter Sri Lanka led 41/8 and opponent could add only two points during the second quarter.After third quarter Sri Lanka was leading 61-12 and final result was 82 / 16 .
