ICC World Cup Qualifier Final – Sri Lanka clinch victory and claim ICC World Cup Qualifier championship

Sri Lanka secured their victory and became champions in the ICC World Cup Qualifier against the Netherlands by 128 runs. Earlier, the Netherlands won the toss and opted to bowl first. For Sri Lanka, Sahan Arachchige and Kusal Mendis scored 57 and 43 runs respectively. Sri Lanka set a target of 233 runs for the Netherlands in 47.5 overs. Charith Asalanka also contributed 36 runs. Vikramjit Singh, Logan van Beek, and Ryan Klein took 2 wickets each.

In reply, Sri Lanka’s bowlers put pressure on the Netherlands, and they managed to score only 105 runs before being all out. Maheesh Theekshana took 4 wickets for 31 runs, and Dilshan Madushanka took 3 wickets for 18 runs, earning him the player of the match award. Sri Lanka has already qualified for the World Cup and will face South Africa on October 7th.
