World Rugby (WR) yesterday informed the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOCSL) that they have granted the approval for Sri Lanka to participate at the Asian Games Sevens Rugby Tournament in China under the National Olympic Committee (NOC) Flag.
“Given the positive discussions with stakeholders we have agreed an alteration to the suspension of SLR to permit a team to be entered in the Asian Games subject to the kind agreement of the NOC/OCA to allow the team to participate under the NOC/OCA Flag,” WR media release stated. (C.D)
