Wannidu Hasaranaga recorded the best bowling figures in LPL history by taking 6 wickets for just 9 runs and threw defending champions Jaffna Kings out of LPL 2023, securing a victory in the eliminator by 61 runs.
Earlier, JK won the toss and opted to bowl first. B-Love Kandy put up a massive 188 runs on the board, thanks to Mohammad Haris who scored a brilliant 79 runs, and Chandimal, who provided strong support by adding 41 runs to the total. Nuwan Thushara was the standout bowler for Jaffna Kings as he took 4 wickets for 40 runs. Mahesh Theekshana and Asela Gunarathne each took 2 wickets.
In reply, JK did not succeed in their innings and were all out for 127 in 17.2 overs. B-Love Kandy will face Galle Titans on Saturday in Qualifier 02.
