The Bureau of FIFA Council decided on Sunday (27 ) to lift the suspension of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) with immediate effect. FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) will continue to monitor the situation until the FFSL election on next September 29. The Secretary of Federation International of Football Association (FIFA) Fatma Samoura sent a letter regarding lifting of the suspension of the Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) to the Sports Ministry appointed FFSL committee President A.G.C Deshapriya yesterday.
As a result of a discussion Sports Minister Roshan Ransinghe had with FIFA and AFC this ban was lifted by FIFA and they will monitor activities in future. (Sports Ministry media)
