South Africa’s brilliant performance led them to a 229-run victory over England. Asked to bat first, Heinrich Klaasen scored 109 runs, along with Reeza Hendricks’ 85 runs, helping SA to post a mammoth target of 399/7 in 50 overs. Reece Topley took 3 wickets, while Gus Atkinson and Adil Rashid took 2 wickets each for ENG.
In reply, unfortunately, ENG lost 9 wickets in 20 overs. For the last wicket, Mark Wood scored an unbeaten 43 runs before ENG was all out in 22 overs. Gerald Coetzee (3), Lungi Ngidi (2), Marco Jansen (2), Kagiso Rabada (1), and Keshav Maharaj (1) took wickets for SA.
